May Short Story Comp – Winners

Thankyou to everyone who entered the May short story comp (theme: troubled family relationship) as part of the monthly short story comps running in March, April and May.

The winning story is The Second Wife and the Cat, by Louise D’Arcy.

Louise has won feedback on her story from two commercially published authors and a Kindle (3G + WiFi) ereader.

The runner-up story is In the Eye…, by Lucy Bignall.

Lucy has won feedback on his story from one commercially published author.

There will be more short story competitions in the future. Meanwhile, the comedy anthology (including a story by novelist Lia Weston) and the Christmas horror anthology (featuring a story by novelist Gordon Reece) are open to submissions of 4,000-10,000 word stories until September 30th.
